Electro Therapy

Electrotherapy (or electromagnetic therapy) is the use of electrical energy as a medical treatment. The ‘electrically induced heat,’ as so-called diathermy, is commonly used for muscle relaxation. It is a method of heating deep tissue electromagnetically or ultrasonically for therapeutic purposes in medicine.

Electrotherapy uses electrical currents to treat medical and physical conditions. It includes techniques like Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) for pain relief, Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) for muscle strengthening, and Interferential Current (IFC) for deeper tissue pain management. Electrotherapy helps reduce pain, improve circulation, and aid in muscle recovery. It is used in physical therapy and rehabilitation but should be administered by a qualified professional, especially in individuals with specific medical conditions.
